Living on a Boat

The old boat was sold for €4,000. That money went toward the new boat. I saved a bit of cash on my side and I borrowed the rest from a friend who bought my old boat — used his card to complete the purchase. I have a deal to pay him back within five years.

I'm not going into details about where I stay. I live on a boat. I'm mobile. Winterstalling is the rent. I stay there because they allow me to sleep on a boat and that's why electricity is so expensive. It costs €0.55 per kWh and I somehow have to stay warm — with the worst temperatures still meaning I'm living in 15 degrees most of the time.

I just need a lifted baseline since I have proven I have more costs than I can afford. Bijstand was always meant for people who are lucky enough to get a home after decades of waiting while there are empty new hotels, empty houses, or old people living in 5-bedroom flats alone.

I'm not compromising here. My life was ruined and threatened by the government and system here. I'm demanding what is rightfully mine. I paid for my social security with taxes. Not just arming Ukraine.
